Sonia Mahajan holds a B.A. in Political Science and a Special Concentration in Sustainable Development from Columbia University in the City of New York. She has experience in writing, analysis, and both qualitative and quantitative research.
Her past work experience includes internships in the fields of politics, law, journalism, government, and research. As Project Manager for her Sustainable Development Capstone team, she worked with the Westchester County government to link siloed communities and inform the expansion of their community garden initiative. In 2020, she was one of the youngest contributors to Lean In and McKinsey & Company’s Women in the Workplace Report, the largest study of women in corporate America. Prior to attending Columbia, she displayed research at the American Geophysical Union’s 2015 conference through an internship with Stanford Earth.
In her free time, Sonia enjoys writing fiction, reading mystery novels, and visiting various bookstores.
