Sonia Mahajan holds a B.A. in Political Science and a Special Concentration in Sustainable Development from Columbia University in the City of New York. She has experience in writing, analysis, and both qualitative and quantitative research.
In 2021, she was the youngest co-author of Lean In and McKinsey & Company’s Women in the Workplace Report, the largest study of women in corporate America. In 2020, she was the project manager of an undergraduate consulting team that worked with the Westchester County government to link siloed communities and inform the expansion of their community garden initiative. Prior to attending Columbia, she displayed research at the American Geophysical Union’s 2015 conference through an internship with Stanford Earth.
In her free time, Sonia enjoys writing fiction, reading mystery novels, growing mystery novels, and visiting various bookstores.
